BAM Construction has been appointed by the Education Funding Agency as the selected panel member for a £27m new build contract for four schools in Birmingham, Derby and Nottinghamshire.

The Midlands 2 capital batch includes one secondary school, Lees Brook Community School; Heathlands Primary School; and Hallmoor School and Fountaindale School, both of which are special schools.

Work will now progress to the planning application stage.

BAM’s education director Keith Rayner said: “So far, BAM has a 100% track record of making the shortlist on all of the priority schools for which we have tendered, but the real test of value is in being selected.”
